- 2 beefsteak tomatoes, cut into 4 slices each
- 4 ounces alfalfa sprouts
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste (optional)
- 8 slices seven-grain bread
- 6 ounces Cabot 50% Reduced Fat Cheddar or 75% Reduced Fat Cheddar, thinly sliced
- Cooking spray
- 8 slices cooked Dakin Farm Turkey Bacon (4 ounces)
Directions:
1. Season tomato slices and sprouts with salt and pepper.
2. Preheat large skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Assemble sandwiches, placing cheese on both sides and sprouts, tomatoes and bacon in middle.
3. Coat sandwiches lightly with cooking spray. Transfer to skillet or griddle and cook until golden on underside, reducing heat if needed. Turn over and cook until sandwiches are golden on second side and cheese is melted. Cut each sandwich in half on diagonal and serve.

I have reordered this a few times, even though mail order makes it much more expensive then through the market. Can't get it any other way in my area. It is tasty and meaty, unlike any other Turkey bacon I have tried which has been a ground texture and lacked flavor.

A great way to begin the day. Also made a casserole using the Turkey Bacon chopped in pieces mixed with pasta, olive oil, chopped black olives and Cabot 50% low fat cheddar (small cubes mixed throughout). Made a great, very simple, casserole!

The flavor of this turkey bacon is the best I have ever experienced. I hope Dakin never changes the recipe.

I've been looking for a healthy bacon with less fat and grease. Although it has a heady smoked aroma uncooked, the smoke aroma gets absorbed in the cooking. Very meaty, favorable bacon. Made great BLT's. Excellent replacement for a pork product. Can't wait to try it for breakfast.

Great flavor, love that you finally have a turkey bacon for all of us who don't eat beef and pork. My only comment is that it doesn't crisp up when cooking.
