Neighborly Farms

Neighborly farm's dairy operation dates back to the mid 1920's. Robert and Linda Dimmick, took over the farm in 1990 from Rob's parents and transitioned to organic practices shortly afterwards. The Dimmick family has a deep-rooted passion for their surroundings, nestled in the rolling hills of Vermont. Neighborly Farms is an organic, solar-powered farm that runs in complete harmony with the land and the animals. There are no antibiotics, no hormones, and no commercial fertilizers – just pure and natural techniques to keep the cows healthy and happy. They have chosen to use sustainable practices that best care for the earth, their cows, and their neighbors in both this generation and generations to come. The result is wholesome, chemical-free milk used to craft the highest quality cheese.

Colby Jack– Two Time Award Winner and All-Time Favorite

This artisanal, organic Colby was Neighborly Farm’s first blue ribbon winning cheese. It’s cheery orange color, mild, sweet and nutty flavor, and creamy texture makes it a favorite among kids and adults alike! Colby is an American original that was invented in Colby, Wisconsin. Colby cheese is a cheddar that is not “cheddared”, which is a process where the curds are let to sit together for a few hours after they coagulate and begin to knit together into a hard, solid mass. This allows the Colby cheese to be a softer, milder cousin to Cheddar cheese.

Monterey Jack - Two- Time American Cheese Society Award-Winner

Neighborly Farms Organic Monterey Jack is a smooth-textured, mild flavored cheese that is often referred to as a creamy relative of cheddar. This raw farmstead cows milk cheese is aged 2-3 months for a creamy, smooth flavor that is unlike any Monterey Jack you can find locally. Shred it for cooking and pile it high on any Mexican cuisine, or cube it for snacking.

Jalapeno Jack – This Organic Jalapeno Cheese is hot stuff!

A perfect blend of fiery jalapenos, chili flakes, and smooth, creamy Monterey Jack give organic cheese an incredible balance of flavor and texture. The American Cheese Society even named it as their favorite flavored Monterey Jack in 2008.

Green Onion Cheddar – A Brilliant Combination

Organic Green Onion Cheddar was another first blue-ribbon award winner for Neighborly Farms. Organic mild raw jersey cow’s milk cheddar combined with fresh organic green onions make for a light and sunny flavor profile. This is a cheddar that looks as good as it tastes, too! Bright flecks of locally produced green onions are swirled in creamy white cheddar cheese. The crackers usually get left behind when the Green Onion Cheddar is out.

Garlic and Herb Cheddar – Mild Cheddar with Big Garlic and Herb Flavor

Do you love the tastes from Italy? You’ll love this cheddar! Strong, fresh garden flavors will dance on your tongue from Neighborly Farms Organic Garlic and Herb Cheddar.
